The simplest to fish COVID-19 or the Corona Virus is to wash our hands regularly with soap for at least 20 seconds. If soap is not available, then a sanitizer can be used to maintain hand hygiene.

It is important to understand that maintaining personal hygiene by washing hands and being as hygienic as possible not only protects you from the infection but also protects people around you. To help you accomplish this Sabka Dentist has provided the following advice:

You should never share your toothbrush

no sharing of toothbrush

Irrespective of your closeness with people you live with, one should never share his/her toothbrush with anybody. Your toothbrush could be a reservoir of bacteria and viruses that the person using it could be housing. This is the same reason why toothbrushes of different people should be kept as away as possible from each other.

Shut the toilet lid before you use the flush

do not keep toothbrush near toilet

You mush understand that things like your toothbrush should be kept away from the pot. If you keep your toothbrush near your toilet, it is a bright possibility that some of the spray or water will fly out of the toilet onto your toothbrush or other toiletries.

Bacteria and viruses can be spread via faecal matter (poo). So, make sure your brush is a safe distance away from your toilet, or better yet, make sure you close the lid before you flush.

Change your toothbrush regularly

toothbrush position

One must change his/her toothbrush every 3 months or 90 days. You could also change it before that if the bristles have worn out. This provides you a better brushing effectiveness.

A worn-out brush cannot do the job effectively. If you have been down with an infection than it is necessary that you must change your toothbrush immediately and again once you recover.

You must visit the dentist regularly but with care. During these times of uncertainty dentists may choose to provide only emergency treatments and more routine treatments may be postponed for the near future.

Keep you bathroom clean

We must keep our bathrooms as clean as possible especially places where we store our toothbrushes, toiletries, towels and other items that we use regularly. We must regularly disinfect the bathroom with a bleach-based cleaning agent. This was we can avoid bacteria and viruses to breed in our bathrooms.

Don’t forget to do the basics

We must be give a high priority to dental and oral hygiene. Apart from regular visits to your dentist every 6 months, we must follow some day to day routines which will help us keep our mouth and teeth healthy. The following are some of those routine habits:
